98% – Children rarely lie when disclosing sexual assault. In 98% of reports by children, their statements are found to be true. Dympna House, 1990

90% – According to Australian study of children under 15 years almost 90% of sexual abuse was
perpetrated by offenders known to the child in some capacity.
